These pages are the contract. Marketing copy does not amend them. Where law forbids a waiver, that waiver is narrowed to the minimum the law allows — the rest still applies.
1. What we mean by cookies
Cookies are small files a site stores on your device. We also use local storage, session storage, and similar pixels. This policy covers all of that on aethellayer properties, including the marketing site, login, and dashboard.
2. Necessary cookies
These run the Service. We use them whether or not you click accept. They include session and auth cookies so you stay logged in, load-balancing, fraud and abuse signals, and the cookie that remembers whether you already answered this banner. Without them, login and the inbox break. We do not advertise a public sample workspace login.

3. Analytics cookies (optional)
If you accept all, we may set analytics cookies (including PostHog) to see which pages get read, which CTAs get clicked, and whether the pricing toggle is confusing. On Vercel deploys we also use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights for anonymous traffic and performance. They do not follow you around the rest of the web for ads. If you choose Necessary only, we do not set marketing analytics cookies.
4. Preference cookies (optional)
Things like monthly vs yearly on pricing can live in local storage so the page does not reset when you come back. They are not required.
5. How to control them
Use the banner the first time you visit. Clear site data in your browser to see it again. You can also block cookies in the browser. Blocking necessary cookies will break login. Do not send us a letter to opt out of a cookie that is already off. Email privacy@aethellayer.com if the banner fails.
6. Other technologies
We may use server logs and security signals that are not cookies. Payment processors and auth vendors set their own cookies when you use checkout or magic links. Read their policies too. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the marketing site today. If that changes, we will update this page and the banner.
